Dr. Dee Dee Allison joined Four County Animal Hospital in 1999 and has since made it her home. Dr. Allison recently purchased the practice from Dr. Goodman and is enjoying the challenges of practice ownership.
Dr. Allison and her husband, Tom, are the proud parents of two twin girls, Abbie and Sofie, and one boy, Ben. She also has two cats: Pablo and Reesie. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking, teaching Sunday school, and spending time with her kids.
Dr. David Goodman grew up in Rochester, NY before relocating to the Washington, DC where he attended American University. He immediately fell in love with the DC metro area, specifically Damascus, and decided to make it his home. After working as an associate veterinarian in various veterinary hospitals, Dr. Goodman established Four County Animal Hospital in 1983.
Aside from his veterinary profession, Dr. Goodman enjoys horseback riding, photography, bicycling, antique clocks and cars, and spending time with his family. He is the proud owner of two yellow labs, Zoe and Sadie, two cats, Frankie and MJ, and several horses.
Dr. Ginny Smith graduated from the Virginia Tech in 1993 with a Bachelors degree in Animal Science and then went on to pursue her passion for animals by graduating from Iowa State Veterinary School in 1997. She has been working at Four County Animal Hospital since 2000. Dr. Smith was born and raised in Irwin, PA and currently resides in Urbana, MD.
Tina has been at Four County Animal Hospital since 1988. Tina started part-time working in the kennel and then was trained by Dr. Goodman to be a veterinary technician. She lives in Frederick and has 2 dogs, 6 cats, 2 guinea pigs, and 2 birds. one dog, 3 cats, and 2 birds were adopted as strays from the hospital. In her spare time, Tina enjoys spending time with her nieces Amanda and Aleah. She has enjoyed 2 cruises to Alaksa and would love to go again.
Shelley has worked for Four County Animal Hospital since 2003. She started as a kennel manager and is now one of our veterinary technicians. She has three dogs and two cats. Three of her five pets were adopted from the hospital. Shelley and her husband Randy have 4 children. Shelley enjoys going to the beach each year with her entire family. some of her favorite times are spent with her granddaughter.
Barbara has worked at Four County Animal Hospital since 1999 as a receptionist. she enjoys her 4 cats, all adopted from the hospital at varying times. The girls were all strays, and the oldest is now over 15. Barbara enjoys going to plays, traveling, the beach, and geocaching. Most of all she enjoys sprnding time with her grandchildren.
Vickie has worked at Four County Animal Hospital since 1995 as a receptionist. She has 1 dog, and 1 cat, all adopted from the hospital. Vickie and her husband Rob have 1 daughter who is in college. They enjoy traveling and socializing with friends and family. In her spare time, she enjoys watching and feeding the wildlife at her house, especially the squirrls.
Sherry has been a receptionist at Four County Animal Hospital since 2013. Sherry and her husband Jeff have 2 children, 1 dog, and 2 cats. Sherry enjoys reading, traveling, and especially long walks with her Sheltie.
Pennie has been the groomer at Four County Animal Hospital since 2002. Pennie and her husband have 2 sons and 2 dogs. She has also been active in beekeeping.
